With touchpoints and surveys, you can place a question or a series of questions somewhere in the customer journey. You place a button, link or QR code to your touchpoint or survey and receive a flow of answers and can ask follow-up questions whenever you want. A simple and personal way to coordinate with the customer on the fly!
Use cases for questions in the customer journey
- When you want to catch the customer right when something happens (can be a small or large target group, focus on getting feedback on something that customers are just experiencing)ย e.g. to evaluate a function in the app or on the site.
- When you want to ask a question to many - capture broad engagement and get high-quality answers. It can be any question that you want answered both quantitatively and qualitatively so that it becomes actionable, e.g. asking a question at a fair or in a newsletter.
- For sensitive questions where it is important that the person answering can remain anonymous.
One or more questions?
Usually it's good to keep it short when you catch someone in the moment. That means a clear straight forward question in video format.
But sometimes you want to be able to ask several questions.
- When you want to evaluate something, it can sometimes be good to be able to ask customers several questions at that moment. It will be a way to take advantage of a great commitment. And it can also give you a little more information about the person answering.
- A small series of questions can also give you a broader basis from a target group when you want to test an idea about a need or a solution.
- Another area of use is attitude measurements to see changes over time or to identify areas to explore more deeply.
